NJIDA / NJSHA SPRING CONFERENCE 2011

The NJIDA,NJSHA joint Spring Conference, "Scaffolding Reading Comprehension," with Anita Archer was a hit with attendees, many of whom had also been present for last year's conference on vocabulary. They were not disappointed. It was an inspiring and informative day. Dr. Archer is known as the "perky presenter" and she justified her title, maintaining a high-energy presentation right up the to the end. Conference attendees left with a clearer understanding of current reading research, along with a comprehensive toolkit of strategies that they can utilize immediately to improve their students' reading comprehension.
Save these dates for our upcoming conferences and workshops. Our first annual South Jersey SIFFT conference will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd at Camden County Community College. On Friday, October 14, NJIDA will welcome Tim Shanahan, Ph.D as our keynote speaker for our annual Fall Conference. We hope to see you there.
